EVELYN CARNAHAN WAS practically fated to be an archaeologist, coming from a long line of treasure-hunters, adventurers, and Egyptologists. Which is part of why it's so frustrating, sometimes, that the closest she ever really makes it is providing back-up to ARCG's field agents. Evelyn clings onto her dreams of someday making it out of the library and into the filed tenaciously, though, and in the meantime, she's developed a solid niche in translating dead languages, from the classics to the new and confusing. What she lacks in experience and grace, she'd like to think she makes up for by knowing her area cold and being far more driven to succeed than the average bookworm.
